Artist
Hayley Stokes is 21 years old and is a local resident artist of Schuylkill County. She is mainly a self-taught, mixed media artist. Hayley is head artist of C & H Arts, an Independent Artist, and a Comic Illustrator for Hull & Mio Comics.
Hayley is always learning and growing as an artist and hopes to further her education in art as much as possible. When Hayley isn't creating art she is often found volunteering at local businesses or contributing her time at events within the community and surrounding areas.
Her artwork is displayed at multiple local businesses, events, and shows. Hayley has participated in various group events and solo shows, and has won multiple awards. Her artwork is a mix of technical and abstract styles to make something one of a kind.
Her work explores the human form and nature as well as depicting inner emotions and surreal elements. Hayley’s signature work consists of bright, bold colored portraits. Though she is also a fan of classic charcoal and graphite drawings. Hayley always has a sketchbook close at hand, allowing for constant drawing, and perfecting her craft. Sometimes drawings are left in the sketchbook and other times they develop into more in-depth ideas and finished works.
Heart and soul is put into every aspect of her art, which comes through in many of her pieces. She's always working on art whether in the studio or sketching ideas for future works. Each project often consists of a range of different media, grouped around certain themes and meanings. During research and production new areas of interest arise and lead to the next body of work.
